This page is dedicated to one of my long-term projects, whom I call Jonas. Jonas is a large ball of recovered acrylic paint, and nothing else. The purpose for his name, which means accomplishing, is how every piece, every layer Jonas acquires is an accomplishment. Jonas is acrylic paint that would otherwise have gone to waste (or paint that I mixed so poorly, it could have respectably been tossed). I have a deep and personal hatred for the disposal of anything which can still be used. Needless to say, I live amongst a great quantity of garbage. I found myself wasting a great deal of paint, which I disposed of by scraping from my palette, and discarding. Why? I couldn't answer this question, so I began to make a ball. This ball, now called Jonas, will continue to grow, and periodical pictures of Jonas's growth will be the soul purpose of this page. I'll warn you, these images are out-of-focus and often have miscellaneous "stuff" in the background. I don't currently have a macro lens (which would allow the good close-ups), and I certainly didn't have one back in 2003. Thanks for understanding, and enjoy.
