2004. Wood, stain, brass wire... I don't remember what kind of stone that is. Damn. 1/2 the size of a credit card. $149.99 plus $5.99 for shipping. Click here if you want this piece.
This is part of a series I was consumed with for several months. I took small pieces of wood that my fellow woodworkers hate working with, and carve them into small, beautiful trinkets, which I attach to metal aparatuses so that people can wear them. This piece has an interesting, no-moving-parts, safe mechanism I made to attach this to clothing. This is a little larger than most broaches I've seen, but not significantly. One problem I always have with knotholes is that most are large by nature. I have yet to find a knothole which can be split for a pair of ear rings. I'm currently experimenting with a ring, but it might seem gaudy on anyone who likes the subdued look my refined knotholes provide.
