To be honest, I liked this piece better before I smudged the pastel, which prefaces the application of lipstick. It had a sharp edginess that I tried to get back, but couldn't. Truly, you can never go back.
But the good news is, at least I conveyed something neat with her. She has a sort of deep-searching wisdom about her, looking away with head held high. Nothing demure about Momma Earth, she's had a quintillion children (recently). And she's raised us all on her own. I'm not sure if it was a technical error to make her eyes so filled, or if that's just how she demanded to be. I'm such a chronic screw-up, it's really hard to tell when I make a good mistake. Oh, well, take it as you will.
