Yes, she's gazing longingly at you. This girl's a serious ho. The first time we went out in public together, she seduced every guy in sight... and half the women, too. Not bad for a two-dimensional character. But that's not the real reason I called her Lilith.

I remember when I had no skill as an illustrator; I was so damned confident in my abilities, back before I realized I don't have any. I figured out a couple of years before I wrote this (I learned in 2002, to put it historical perspective) that a piece of artwork's genuine appeal is in direct proportion to the annoyance it causes the artist. For a long time, I thought it was required that the artist be generally dissatisfied with a piece for its success; not necessarily. It just has to be annoying, and if ever a little piece of artwork was bothersome to make, it was this little devil-woman.

Some of my favorite pieces

I'm not a parent. I admit I have favorites...

One Dusk

One Dusk

The question isn't whether it's beautiful... the question is, is it really a depiction of dusk?

Whatever you do, do NOT let the pieces fall into the hands of a small child.

It's just so... Line-y. Not to be confused with 'Limey.' Although I hear the British are pretty nautical...
