My original idea was to splotch, flatten it with polyurethane, then put down a 'floating' layer... almost like cloudcover. It wasn't to be. Eventually, I got to the point where I was seeing stars instead of clouds. So I put down a few splotches, and massaged them into lines. I know, technically a line segment connects two points, but there is a certain spiritual continuity between all of these points, as though they're each an individual force struggling for the attentions of the precious line. Right. If it looks good, it looks good. If it doesn't... once again, I am dishonored.
