This was an experiment into the notion of transforming a woman into a tree. There was a mythological woman who did that, because one of the gods was trying to take her against her will, but another god had sympathy for her plight. Had I remembered the name, that's what this piece would've been called. Yeah, I feel like every mad scientist in every bad science fiction movie -- when will we learn to just let a girl be a girl?
