When I was younger, I used to have a lot of "me time." During this time, I would often sit contemplatively, and watch whatever television interested me most. Sometimes, after watching movies and historical documentaries... it would be about 3 am, and I would be in sort of a Bellevue state of mind. Anyway, one of the best shows in the early hours of one's day was a service they had on the Weather Channel... a live satellite feed of the Earth, orbiting below. It was just about the coolest thing ever, and I tried to convey that here. First, I took an old painting that wasn't satisfactory, and splotched it until very little was visible... everything is obscured, from a hundred miles above (an estimation only). Then, I experimented with white washes and shine juice... it is very smooth to the touch, though it looks as it does. The washes wasn't as good at conveying clouds as I hoped it would be, but the effect is there.

Some of my favorite pieces

I'm not a parent. I admit I have favorites...

One Dusk

One Dusk

The question isn't whether it's beautiful... the question is, is it really a depiction of dusk?

Whatever you do, do NOT let the pieces fall into the hands of a small child.

A Battle Under the Surface

A Battle Under the Surface.

It's just so... Line-y. Not to be confused with 'Limey.' Although I hear the British are pretty nautical...
