This piece was something of a breaking-out, because it was the first in awhile that had meaning to me. I also experimented with color relationships (which went through stages) and brush strokes (the hill isn't as much the focal point as I had intended). I love to charge hills, but the trouble is finding a place with large, steep ones. Once I've conquered a hill a few times, the magic starts to disappear. But the feeling of victory at the top is something only athletes, warriors and my lovers have experienced. Oops.
