At first, I didn't really have a 'vision' for this piece... it came about just because I wanted to form a visual rhythm. On looking back at it a little later, though, I realize that it's just about filling space... like life. In the beginning, one has so much time in which they don't do very much. Then, layers are added, like in one of those computer games where stuff stacks to the top of the screen. I've talked to so many people whose lives are crammed full of stuff... what they're doing, what they "have" to do, what they "should" do... until they're ready to break beneath such burdens. All can be overcome, though... with a bandsaw, that is.
