A Tower, A part

A Tower, A part

2004. Acrylic on canvas. 28" x 22" Not for sale (MIA). But you can always commission a similar piece.

I have a penchant for triangles, mostly because I don't draw very well, and one can't hardly mess up a triangle. This piece was intended to be very moody, because I was missing somebody special to me during the period coinciding with this design. Both figures are off-center, not only for compositional reasons, but to indicate the off-keel nature of the relationship. The smaller figure is more ghostly, almost with the larger figure, but not quite at the same material level. I still love both the striking nature of white, all by itself on other colors, and the ambivalence I can express by a half-risen/half-set Sun. Just gaze at it for awhile.

Some of my favorite pieces

I'm not a parent. I admit I have favorites...

One Dusk

One Dusk

The question isn't whether it's beautiful... the question is, is it really a depiction of dusk?

Whatever you do, do NOT let the pieces fall into the hands of a small child.

A Battle Under the Surface

A Battle Under the Surface.

It's just so... Line-y. Not to be confused with 'Limey.' Although I hear the British are pretty nautical...
