This is a remake of a piece I did a couple of years prior. It's a dramatically different design, and if I may say so myself, significantly better-executed. My paintings improve a bit when I sketch them out, first. Now, on to why I painted this one. The whole idea of getting a broken heart is often seen as so final. So many whiny songs and bad poetry deal with broken hearts. When ten girls in a row have shot me down like the Japanese at Midway, I solve my "heartbreak" the same way I solve any other problem -- I take it to the shop! In this case, a simple welding laser and wooden table are all it takes to ease my woes. Hell, if I'd put in a hammer, it would be a positive experience. Sometimes a fellow needs to open up his heart... women put a lot of garbage in there, and the occasional enema is what keeps us from getting high voices and breasts. Not that I have any problem with breasts, now. I'd just like to only experience them from second and third person.
