Machine Gun Hodge

Machine Gun Hodge

2004. Oil on canvas. 18" x 14" $599.99 plus $12.99 for shipping. Click here if you want this piece.

This is one of my self-portraits, and my first complete oil painting. It is over 90% oil, with some acrylic outlining the base... which has been subsequently covered. This might possibly be my best painting, as of September 2004. The only difficulties I have with oil are the drying times. I expect this self-portrait to take up to 6 months to dry, so nobody can buy it until January of 2005. I won't even put it on my show-entry rotation until then. Now for the good stuff. Why the hell did I depict myself as a 1920's-era gangster? It's pretty simple, really. See, while I'm adopted, and don't know my lineage, I look somewhat Sicilian... a very rich culture with whom to associate; and, of course, you are certainly familiar with my associate, Mr. Tommy Gun, who types epitaphs for me. He's also fluent in several languages, including racketeer, launderer, numbers, and pimp. He'll answer any questions you may have.

Some of my favorite pieces

I'm not a parent. I admit I have favorites...

One Dusk

One Dusk

The question isn't whether it's beautiful... the question is, is it really a depiction of dusk?

Whatever you do, do NOT let the pieces fall into the hands of a small child.

A Battle Under the Surface

A Battle Under the Surface.

It's just so... Line-y. Not to be confused with 'Limey.' Although I hear the British are pretty nautical...
