2004. Pastel on paper. 19 1/2" x 18" Not for sale (I threw it out because it wasn't very good). But you can always commission a similar piece.
This began as classwork... but it got to be interesting. See, my figure drawing teacher liked to tell stories and set a mood for class. The first few hours of this piece were in class, after hearing the story of Narsissus and his quasi-girlfriend, Echo. Eventually, Narsissus fell in love with himself, and stared at his reflection, until he degenerated into a mere, borderline-useless flower... and Echo, having terrible self-esteem and no life of her own, degenerated into nothing but a series of random reverberations... which I express with those blue sections in the background. Overall, this isn't a happy piece, but it lacks a lot of the anger typifying my work... I'm sort of a romantic, when it comes to other people's suffering.
Did I just say my work is angry? Yeah, anger in bright, gaudy color schemes. Maybe it'd be better to say that many of my works are like a toddler's temper tantrums.
